General radiography systems require an extremely wide dynamic range in order to correspond to various body areas to be imaged. Hitachi has adopted FPD combined with Cesium iodine (CsI) scintillator of high DQE (Detective Quantum Efficiency) developed for general radiography to provide high image quality with advanced image optimization technique as well as to renew the workflow. The radiography system has two variations: one is the type VH for standing and lying positions which inherits conventional radiographic techniques and the type U which is equipped with an universal arm and corresponds to various body areas to be imaged by only a single unit, thus useful in various purposes in general radiography.
9-megapixel high-definition FPD and Hitachi's unique image optimization system FAiCE provide clear and natural images. In addition, a 43cm × 43cm large field-of-view FPD makes the system compatible with any body area necessary in general radiography.
All-in-one touch panel console integrating image display, X-ray control and examinee's information inputting work unites operation environments, and therefore, allows workflow improvement and space saving.
Furthermore, since the review screen is displayed in only three seconds, it is possible to confirm images in real time and transmit images immediately. Total examination throughput is improved.
The Radnextα series consists of a main console and a control unit. Therefore, it is possible to utilize space effectively and make system layout free. Also, since neither special air-conditioning nor refrigerator exclusive for FPD is required, the room can be used at ease as same as ordinary examination rooms.

The Radnextα type VH consists of a ceiling suspended X-ray tube support, upright position radiographic unit incorporating FPD and recumbent position radiographic table, and inherits techniques from conventional general radiography while demonstrating the advantages of digitization.
A large field-of-view FPD and its stroke, further combined with a floating tabletop, allows covering a wide imaging range from head to toe and conducting radiography without moving the examinee.
The elevating tabletop can be lowered to as low as 45cm so that the examinee can get on and off the table smoothly and a long SID can be secured for actively utilizing large FOV FPD.
Various automatic tracking systems decrease the load for positioning but increase reproducibility, precision and safety.
Since the FPD area can be tilted and swung, oblique radiography and recumbent position radiography using a recumbent position table (optional) and lateral radiography are possible. A manual elevation type upright position radiographic unit is also available.
Our theme is “Friendliness to all people” It means “not the people adjust them to equipment” but “equipment adjusts itself to the people”.
This is a universal type radiographic system combined with an offset arm. The arm moves speedily to the radiographic position based on the information from RIS. Not only recumbent position radiography and upright position radiography, but also various types such as oblique radiography and lateral radiography are possible to conduct with this system only.
Movement of arm improves positioning freedom for radiography.

SID can be freely taken for chest radiography as the arm moves in the range from 1000mm to 1800mm. Also, the maximum height of 170cm for chest radiography is high enough even for tall examinees.
Arm positions can be memorized according to each radiographic area. In addition, a dedicated remote control allows the operator to operate the system while observing the examinee, and therefore, safety can be kept even while the arm is moving.
Recumbent position radiography and lateral radiography are possible by using the exclusive recumbent position table (optional).
