Wish to scan a wide area in a short time and obtain images with high precision – there had been many of technical obstacles to achieve this, such as the resolution degradation in the periphery of FOV due to the high-speed rotation of the scanner. Our cutting-edge high-speed data sampling technologies with SCENARIA realized 0.35s/rot scanning which can be used not only for cardiac scanning but also whole-body scanning.

Furthermore, the CORE method that enables high-pitch scanning, 2D anti-scatter collimator that reduces scattered X-rays also from the direction of the body axis and the wide variety of dose reduction technique are equipped.

High-speed scanning, high image quality and low exposure
Hitachi aims the CT system pursuing all of these capabilities without compromise,
and now Hitachi brings you a 64-ch multislice CT, SCENARIA

Abstract
Nippon Medical School Hospital introduced SCENARIA※1 into the CT examination room which is most frequently using CT scanners and started its full operation since February, 2011. SCENARIA has various features surpassing conventional 64-channel multislice CT systems both in hardware and software, and, from clinical viewpoints, such features as allowing ① 0.35s/rot imaging at any part of whole body including cardiac examinations, ② low dose examinations by the exposure dose optimization with maintaining contrast-to-noise ratio and adaptive iterative denoising process and ③ high spatial resolution examinations with lateral slide mechanism of patient table.
This paper collects theses clinical advantages and describes the possibility that SCENARIA as a CT scanner beyond 64-channel ones possesses by providing the cases demonstrating these features.
