Perfusion analysis

Perfusion analysis

It allows pathologic diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction and postoperative follow-up in quick and simple ways.

Perfusion analysis is a CT application in which specific cross sections are scanned dynamically while an iodine contrast medium is being bolus-injected for obtaining information of such dynamic functions as Cerebral Blood Flow (CBF), Cerebral Blood Volume (CBV) and Mean Transit Time (MTT). It allows detecting the blood flow abnormalities such as cerebral infarction, stricture and occlusion of trunk arteries earlier than a plain CT system does.

Features

  • A new algorithm “Reversed filter method” realizes high-speed calculation and examinations with a low rate of contrast medium.
  • Intermittent imaging interpolation function and low tube current imaging allows examinations with lower radiation exposure (1/4 of that in conventional imaging).
  • Automatic extraction function of in-flow arteries and out-flow veins has realized shortened operation time, objectivity and reproducibility.
  • It allows display and storage of TDC of in-flow arteries and out-flow veins as well as region-of-interest.
  • It allows the change of smoothing size of CBF/CBV/MTT by several steps.
    Smoothing optimization function is incorporated.
  • It allows operation on the CT imaging reading software “Quick net “ (Q-net). It also allows not only Perfusion analysis but also imaging diagnosis of plain CT and 3D-CTA with PC for general use in examination rooms.
  • Intuitive operation function by Windows GUI and image output function toward JPEG and BMP formats are incorporated.
