The fatPointer uses the CT number to extract an area corresponding to visceral/subcutaneous fat and displays it in color and automatically calculates the area at the same time.
It provides useful information for the examinations of visceral fat type obesity.
The fatPointer discriminates CT number corresponding to fat from an abdominal CT image at the umbilicus level, and displays visceral fat and subcutaneous fat in different colors. Further it automatically calculates each area and area ratio making examinations of visceral type obesity efficient. Easy-to-understand color images and numerical results are useful in guiding the lifestyle of examinees in the health checkup examinations and so on.
- Automatic measurement: Only one-clicking an image to be analyzed automatically calculates an area corresponding to visceral/subcutaneous fats and the abdominal circumference.
- Simple operation: A range of CT number of fat and a position separating visceral /subcutaneous fats can be simply changed manually.
- JPEG output: Images of measurement results can be outputted in the JPEG format. These can be utilized by any other Windows software.
